Day 1: Nairobi
On arrival into Nairobi Airport today you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
This morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi by your guide to start your safari tour. Drive to Samburu National Reserve with lunch en-route at Trout Tree Restaurant. Once you enter the park you will game drive en-route to your safari lodge for check in, dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Samburu National Reserve
Full day spent in the reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Samburu National Reserve maintains a feeling of serenity and quiet. Here you find
uncommon wildlife such as the reticulated giraffe, gerenuk antelope, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx and the rare Grevy’s zebra. Herds of elephant are drawn to the brown waters of the Uaso Nyiro River which cuts through the reserve, the park has a large variety of birds for the keen birder. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 4: Samburu – Aberdare National Park
After breakfast at the lodge this morning you will drive to the Aberdare region where you will enjoy lunch at the Aberdare Country Club followed by a transfer to The Ark Lodge. Guests spend the rest of the day watching wildlife from the viewing decks at the lodge’s natural waterhole, frequented by giant forest hogs, buffaloes, elephants, hyenas, Egyptian geese and the occasional leopard. The waterhole is floodlit by night so that guests may see the nocturnal wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 5: Aberdare – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast at the lodge this morning you will drive to Lake Nakuru National Park where you will enjoy a sumptuous lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive in the park. The park's ecosystem comprises of the lake, surrounded by mainly wooded and bushy grasslands. The park is an important Ramsar site and supports a wide ecological diversity. The 188sq km Lake Nakuru is the only KWS-administered reserve that is fully enclosed. Once just a bird sanctuary, Lake Nakuru is now the best place in Kenya to see the highly protected black and white rhino among other animals found in the park include rhino, lion, leopard, flamingos, Egyptian geese, water-buck, giraffe, hyena, buffalo, baboons, vervet monkeys, gazelles, Flamingos (Greater and Lesser) and other water birds being also major attractions of the area. In the evening proceed for a game drive till sun set After the evening game drive, proceed to your lodge for check in, dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park – Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast at the lodge this morning you will drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve where you will check in to your lodge and have lunch. This afternoon you will enjoy a game drive in the reserve that offers wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is perhaps the only region left in Kenya where the visitor may see animals in the same super-abundance as existed a century ago. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 7: Masai Mara National Reserve
Full day spent in the reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. The Masai Mara Game Reserve is approximately 1510km² of incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers in Kenya. it is typical open savannah, with a mass of amazing wildlife, It hosts over 95 species of mammals and 570 recorded species of bird. All members of the “BIG FIVE “ (lion , leopard, African elephant, African buffalo, and black rhinoceros) are found in this reserve , other animals found in this reserves are hippos , Nile crocodiles, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals and bat-eared foxes. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 8: Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast at the lodge this morning you will drive to Lake Naivasha where you will check in to your lodge and have lunch. This afternoon you will enjoy a boat ride on the lake, before returning to your lodge for dinner.
Day 9: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast at the lodge this morning you will drive to Amboseli National Park where you will check in to your lodge and have lunch. This afternoon you will enjoy a game drive in the national park, before returning to your lodge for dinner.
Day 10: Amboseli National Park
Full day spent in the park with morning and afternoon game drives. Amboseli is set at the foot of the most famous symbol of Africa. Mt Kilimanjaro broods high over Amboseli, generally cloaked by clouds but appearing in all its snow-shrouded magnificence from time to time. Kilimanjaro was once part of Kenya, but on the marriage of Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany Queen Victoria gifted it to her beloved grandson, whose colony Tanzania then was, as the perfect wedding present. The mountain now provides water for the park, wonderful views and, of course, the most glorious background for animal photography. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
Day 11: Amboseli – Nairobi - Depart
After breakfast at the lodge this morning you will drive to Nairobi where the safari tour comes to an end with a drop off at a hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight out.
