Day 1: Arrive at Etosha National Park

We travel north to Namibia’s prime wildlife sanctuary, the Etosha National Park. Upon arrival we check in, after which we spend the day at leisure. Take in the savannah environment, relax on the private veranda of your chalet or cool off in the sparkling pool.

Day 2: Etosha National Park

The day is devoted purely to open vehicle game drives in search of the abundant wildlife found in the Etosha National Park, which surrounds a parched salt desert known as the Etosha Pan. The park is home to 4 of the Big Five - elephant, lion, leopard and rhino. Popular game species such as giraffe, blue wildebeest, plains and mountain zebra, hyena, lion, leopard, antelopes such as kudu, oryx, eland, as well as some of the endangered species such as Black rhino, cheetah and the black-faced impala are all found here.

An extensive network of roads link the over 30 water holes allowing the visitor an opportunity to do a real game viewing safari over the stretch of the park as each different area will provide different encounters.Today you again take part in open vehicle game drives through the Etosha National Park. You may encounter animal species we have not seen the previous day and look forward to any new surprises at the different waterholes visited.

Day 3: Etosha National Park

Today you will take part in open vehicle game drives through the Etosha National Park again. You may encounter animal species we have not seen the previous day and look forward to any new surprises at the different waterholes visited.

The Etosha Pan dominates the park. Thissalt pan desert, which is nearly completely enclosed by the park and is lined by numerous watering holes, is roughly 130km long and as wide as 50km in places. During Etosha’s notorious dry spells the pan is a deathly place, lying parched and cracked under the molten African sun. It is claimed that game viewing is best during the dry spells as animals will then congregate closer to water. But even in the rainy season the park remains an abundant wildlife haven. You then have the pleasure of experiencing the rebirth of life as the young foals, cubs and chicks are seen frolicking with their parents and the sprouting new green shrubs and grasses create a pleasing green oasis.

In the afternoon we travel back to our lodge, where we enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 4: Departure to Windhoek

After breakfast we have some time at leisure. In the early afternoon we travel back to Windhoek. Upon our arrival we are dropped off at our respective accommodation, where the tour ends.

Price Assurance

At Eclipse Travel, our expert destination knowledge and decades of travel planning experience come at no extra cost to you. While many think booking through a tour operator is more expensive than planning a trip independently, that’s not the case. We’re paid by our travel partners—such as hotels, activity operators, and cruise providers—via commissions, not by our clients.

Our team negotiates the best rates for you and ensures you receive unbiased advice, with no preference for any particular supplier. In fact, where we secure higher commissions, we often pass the savings on to you, giving us a competitive price edge.

Additionally, we lock in exchange rates at the time of your deposit, ensuring no surprise costs when it’s time for final payment. You can rest easy knowing we’ll handle the details with our suppliers. The only exceptions are national park fee increases or fuel surcharges imposed after your booking, though these are rare.

Take advantage of our team’s expertise and let us help you plan the perfect holiday—hassle-free!
